LIVIGNO, Italy (AP) — China freeski star Eileen Gu has fallen on her first qualifying run for women’s slopestyle at the Winter Olympics on Saturday.

The pressure is on the reigning silver medalist, who has one more run to get a good enough score to get in the top 12 skiers to advance to Monday’s final.

Gu fell after coming off the very first rail unbalanced. She got back up and finished her run.

She was only denied a treble of gold medals at Beijing 2022 when she was second in slopestyle while winning the halfpipe and big air events.

Gu, 22, is American-born but competes for China.
